JPL Tour

Emma is so cool that she wanted to take a tour of JPL while she was here this summer. Ryan, considerate man that he is, was willing to indulge such a wish, so off Emma, the kids, and I went to visit Ryan for lunch and a tour one sunny afternoon.

There's this little museum with all kinds of fun exhibits near the front, including an animation of the entry, descent, and landing of the Mars Science Laboratory, the next Mars Rover. Here's a link to the animation: MSL ANIMATION.

This is MSL. Isn't it so cool? A couple of weeks after we saw it, it was packaged and shipped to Florida in preparation for its launch at the end of this year.

JPL always has deer roaming around campus. They aren't shy because they know they're safe, so Emma thought it was fun to see how close she could get to one.

Checking out the NASA swag at the JPL store.

This post is a little out of order. It was from June 9th, so the next two posts are actually before this trip. Whoops.
