70 in February

Yup, we live in Colorado, it's February, and it's been 70 degrees half a dozen times this month (oh wait, it's March 1st today - oh well - I want to talk about February). We are loving this mild winter and all of the opportunities for outdoor fun it offers us and our 3 1/2 month old son. We got this new Burley bike trailer a while back (made to carry little kids behind a bike), and we've already used it several times. We've gone on rides around Vista Ridge, the massive home development we live in. Last week we went on an 8 mile long bike ride across the plains on Teller Farm. Jeremy slept for the first bit, but as soon as he woke up and realized what was going on, he was wiiiide awake. That kid doesn't wanna miss a thing.

Since the nice weather continued, we went on a loooong snowshoe last Saturday (it was only about 6 miles, but for some reason, we thought the loop was 3 miles, so those last 3 miles seemed like a million). We did a loop near Brainard Lake, where we'd taken my dad when he came last December. Once again, Jeremy was a trooper. He's getting too big to carry turned inward, but there was a freezing wind, so he had to tough it out.

My goodness, he's a good looking kid.

We got a new HD camcorder last week and took a bunch of boring video. I promise to get some good stuff posted soon. I've embedded some of the video below, but Blogger doesn't support HD, so you'll have to click on it to view it in HD on Vimeo. There's also some more video there of him laughing. Super adorable.

By the way, my brother-in-law Casey got engaged yesterday! Wahoo! We're going to Las Vegas for Easter to see the family and for baby Seth's baby blessing, and she's (Kami) going to be there, so we'll meet her then! We're excited! Congrats Casey!

We have one of those baby-bike-pull along things too. We LOVE it, but we haven't been able to use it lately because it's been too cold. Hmm...3 inches of snow yesterday in Alabama and 70 degrees in Colorado...weird.

Wow! He's a strong baby! My niece was born in June and she's just starting to do those things!
