Baby Peg Leg

As most of my family probably knows by now, Jeremy broke his leg a couple of weeks ago. It is his tibia, the big bone in the lower leg, and he broke it going down the slide in my lap. Not fun. He was a super trooper, and he didn't even really cry. He kind of whined and refused to walk on it. He was in shock for a couple of hours, but with some Tylenol and time, he was back to his old self---just stuck in one spot. We thought he'd just twisted his knee, so we didn't take him to the doctor until two days later on Monday. Sure enough it was broken all the way through. The orthopedic doctor said his fatty layer helped keep the bone in place, so they didn't even have to set it. Gooooo chunky monk! He gets his cast off on November 9th, just in time for his birthday.

This is him learning to walk in his cast. I had my finger over the microphone, so it sounds like we're underwater. Sorry about that.

We got some adorable kids stuff at a garage sale just down the street. It was like Christmas morning for Jeremy. He got a rocking horse, some animal chairs, and this piano like the one from "Big".

In other news:
Jeremy loves sour cream.

And dancing with our roommate Liz.

We got to visit the family in Visalia over Conference weekend, so we got to see Grandma Monte and Grandpa Gene. It was a lot of fun!

Jeremy loves Daddy's new work iPhone. I love that it's free.

Overall, he has coped well with his cast. We're very proud of him for being such a big boy.
