Today we gave him diluted apple juice, and he LOVED it! It's so much fun introducing new things to him.
Jeremy's getting better and better at sleeping. He's down to only ONE feeding a night and regularly sleeps eight hours at a time! His wake-up time's gotten earlier, though: between 6 and 6:30. Boo. His naps are still highly variable, but he is getting better about sleeping in places other than in his pack-n-play in the closet. Yesterday, Ryan caught him snoozing in his bouncer, something he hasn't done since he was a newborn.
Jeremy's been laughing for months, but it's usually because we're tickling him. Now, he's starting to laugh at just noise stimuli. This is Ryan making goofy noises at him while he cracks up. Look at that turkey neck!
Today is my FIRST Mother's Day!! It was so much fun. Ryan made me french toast and eggs and brought it to me in bed! Plus he got me two dozen roses - one dozen from Jeremy and one dozen from him. The speakers at church did a beautiful job talking about their mothers, the importance of motherhood, and their own efforts to raise their children in love and righteousness. It was beautiful. This afternoon Ryan and I relaxed and took one of our first naps since Jeremy was born. It was a very good day.
A good friend of mine Lisa has a quaint little cabin a couple of hours from here, and she has graciously invited us up for Memorial Day weekend. I can't tell you how excited we are - hiking, fishing, and being out in the middle of nowhere. Perfect! She said we could go up anytime, an offering Ryan and I intend to test. I was in a cute little shop in Grand Lake yesterday and saw a pillow that was embroidered with "You never know how many friends you have until you have a cabin." I should've gotten it for Lisa.
