First Halloween!

Halloween was mostly October 30th for us. Our church has a 'Trunk-or-Treat' in their parking lot every year on October 30th. Everybody comes and hands candy out of their trunks, and some people even decorate their cars. There are a million kinds of cinnamon rolls and hot cider, and it's an easy way to get a lot of candy very, very fast. Jeremy was an adorable monkey, and while it was a little cold for my taste, it was a roaring success!

As the Trunk-or-Treat was near Jer's bedtime, he was quite the somber monkey.

If you look closely, you can tell Ryan is totally using Jeremy for the candy. Who's holding the bag, hm??

I think the sugar's starting to get to Rye.

On Halloween, we went to the CU vs. Missouri football game. They had buy one get one free tickets since it was homecoming. We got rocked, 36-17, though in our defense we out-played them the last three quarters. But it's hard to recover from a 26-0 start.

We thought it was going to be freezing, so we layered up, brought a giant blanket, and put Jer back in his monkey costume for extra warmth.

Though Jeremy got a LOT of attention, it was super roasty, toasty, so we quickly started shedding layers.

Our seats were on the goal line, but they were really close to the field.

Jeremy can chug 10 ounces of milk in under 4 minutes.

Jeremy has this new trick Ryan taught him where if you say 'tongue' and stick your tongue out, he will too. It's pretty funny.

We didn't think about sunblock two days after a blizzard, so Jer had to wear his monkey hat again to protect him from the sun.

We may be staying in on Halloween night (no one trick-or-treats in our apartment complex), but Jeremy is doing a very good impression of a starfish in his crib!
